Our Mission
Our Mission is to create an awareness and a competitive atmosphere for the sport of water polo in Northwest Orange County.

Furthermore it is to promote a connection between academics and aquatics and to cultivate the academic opportunities that the sport of water polo can provide for members of our team.

We believe that exercise and a healthy diet are crucial to physical and mental development.

Our goal is to field teams in each of the age groups and to provide them with a competition schedule throughout the year and to qualify our teams for the United States Water Polo's National Junior Olympics.

We strongly feel that USWP's programs recognizing student achievement provides excellent college resume material, and allows water polo to make a difference in that player's attempt to get into college.

We believe that winning comes with the accomplishment of doing enough things correctly.  This is where our task begins.

How Does FHWP Accomplish These Things? (Time For Us To Brag!)

  • We establish a strong practice and competitive schedule throughout the year.

  • We expose our players to various academic awards available to water polo players, such as the USWP Academic All American (if you are a 10th, 11th or 12th grade water polo player with a GPA of 3.6 or better, you really should take advantage of this opportunity.)

  • We stress the importance of diet and conditioning, we set positive examples, and challenge members with activities such as "No fast food weeks," once each month.

  • Our players are exposed to college campuses, college events, and other pro-academic activities whenever possible.

  • Our coaches serve as contacts to colleges and assist players when they are applying for college.
